RiverPlace Certified Personal Trainer and TRX Instructor Bill Worden doesn’t underestimate the importance of good old-fashioned hard work, and his training philosophy shows it, “Hard work wins over talent when talent fails to work hard!” he says.

With a background that encompasses both physical fitness/training and nutrition, Bill is dedicated to helping his clients achieve all of their goals through proper nutrition and exercise, stating “I love to inspire people to do the necessary work and eat the right foods in order to live a healthy lifestyle and maintain a fit body”.

Bill is a former multi-sport athlete with a sports roster that includes alpine ski-racing, football, baseball, golf, triathlons, marathons, and road racing. He is an International Sports Sciences Association Certified Personal Trainer and Specialist in Fitness Nutrition, and holds a certification in Plant Based Nutrition from Cornell University.

    Last February, I found myself joining yet another fitness center. I had joined and unjoined many gyms in the Portland area over the years, tried every type of exercise class, piece of equipment and bought countless dvd’s. I was now at the tail end of my 50’s and feeling frumpy, uninspired and out of shape. It was time to get going again.

    I walked in for my first workout and saw Bill. I noticed his shirt said ‘trainer’ on it and I said (out loud), “Oh my gosh, you have a trainer that’s my age!” I had worked with trainers in the past and found it difficult to relate to 21 year-olds. With a big smile on his face, Bill welcomed me and we got started!

    At our first session, Bill walked me over to a set of black and yellow straps hanging from a bar and then put me through a series of exercises that were unlike anything I had done before. Once finished, I was sweaty, exhilarated and totally hooked on TRX! I have been training with Bill twice a week ever since and have never felt better. My friends, family and co-workers are noticing the results and I am thrilled.

    Working out with Bill is amazing. He’s funny, warm and knowledgeable. Bill knows just how far to push me, and I always look forward to our sessions together.
