Striving to find innovative ways to make exercise exciting and keep individuals on track with their goals

Steph Loughney enjoys working with individuals from all backgrounds and fitness levels (from youth athletes to elderly clients with specific health concerns), especially clients who are committed even beyond the workout session. Because she likes to keep individuals from falling into a fitness rut, Steph’s clients never know what to expect during their sessions! If the weather cooperates, she also enjoys heading into the great outdoors with them for a change of pace and added challenge.

Steph has been with RiverPlace since 2004, when she came to Portland via Montana, and teaches TRX classes and circuit in addition to seasonal small group training programs. She’s an avid runner who can often be found exploring one of Portland’s many trails. Her other interests include traveling and watching her favorite sports teams. Steph is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the National Strength and Conditioning Association who earned a degree in Exercise Science from Rocky Mountain College.

    Winter Sports Conditioning-

    When winter arrives, many people head to the hills for some chilly fun. This is the perfect time to prepare for your outdoor winter activites! I will lead you through a 60 minute class including strength training, cardio, and plyometrics to help you prepare for your downhill, cross-country, or snowshoe adventures. This 6-week series will utilize the TRX, slide boards, and much more. Come prepared to challenge yourself and fellow participants in a FUN group setting that is bound to take your winter sport activity to a whole new level!

    November 9th-Dec 14th
    Tuesdays 6-7pm
    $90 members
    $150 for non-members
